My research interests are primarily centered on the limnological study of lakes, focusing on water quality and water balances in lake basins, including shallow tropical and playa lakes. A significant aspect of my research involves microbial ecology, employing advanced sequencing techniques to study microbial communities in aquatic environments. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of microbial populations and their role in water quality and ecosystem health.
