My recent research focuses on 3D printable, dual-curable thermosetting photoresins with enhanced mechanical properties. By incorporating a high Tg phase (such as polyepoxide) in a dual network, modulus and toughness can be significantly improved over otherwise poorly performing acrylic photoresins. I am also interested in the development of 3D printable, covalent adaptable polymer networks (CANs). This dynamic network makes possible the occurence of bond exchange reactions at elevated temperatures, endowing malleability, reprocessability, and recyclablility to printed parts. Moreover, by employing renewable-sourced monomers, the environmental impact can be mitigated.
