Information

Dr. Cristian Pantea received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from the University of Cluj, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 1995 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX, USA, in 2004. Since 2000, he has been working with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM, USA, on research focused on different acoustics techniques for materials characterization (pulse-echo, resonant ultrasound spectroscopy, swept-frequency acoustic interferometry, and acoustic nonlinearity) and the development of acoustic sensors and methods with applications in both applied and fundamental research. Dr. Pantea is a member of the IEEE-UFFC, Acoustical Society of America (ASA), and the American Physical Society (APS). He is a Reviewer for several journals, including IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ULTRASONICS, FERROELECTRICS, AND FREQUENCY CONTROL, Applied Physics Letters, and Ultrasonics.
