Petar Matić was born in Split, Croatia, in 1981. He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Split, Split, in 2014. Since 2023, he has been an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Maritime Studies. He spent eight months working on a ship, in 2012 and 2013, as an Electrotechnical Officer (ETO). His research interests include ship electrical systems and mathematical and data-based modelling of diverse systems, ranging from electrotechnical to hydrological and maritime systems.
