Dr. Amarnath Mishra is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Amity Institute of Forensic Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. He has over 19 years of experience in Research, Academics, Administration, Forensic Practice, and Casework. Dr. Mishra has published 12 books, 50 book chapters, and more than 120 research articles in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals and delivered more than 55 invited talks at various national and international events. He has granted/ published 5 national & international patents and 1 copyright. Dr. Mishra has supervised three Ph.D. scholars in the fields of DNA typing, analytical method development for anaesthetic drugs, and detection of fire accelerants in arson cases. He has guided over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students (B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., M.Tech., M.B.B.S., and M.D.) in their major projects and dissertations. Dr. Mishra has featured among the Top 2% Scientists in the World for the year 2025, in a global ranking published by Stanford University (USA) in collaboration with Elsevier. He is a recipient of the National Academic Excellence Award, International Distinguished Academic Leader Award and Honorary Member of the Georgian Academy of Forensic Sciences, Georgia. He is an N.A.B.L. empanelled Technical Assessor for ISO/IEC17025.
