Prof. Dr. Rafael Berkvens received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Engineering (Electronics-ICT) from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in 2012, and his Ph.D. in Applied Engineering in 2017, with a focus on uncertainty in indoor localization using electromagnetic fingerprints. Since 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Antwerp. Prof. Berkvens has authored over 90 publications and has led several completed and ongoing national and international research projects. His expertise lies in localization and context awareness based on wireless communication.
