Prof. Ramagopal V. S. Uppaluri is Professor (HAG) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2002, following an M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a B.Tech. in Process Integration from Andhra University. His research encompasses advanced food processing, membrane technology, adsorption, nanotechnology, waste biomass valorization, advanced catalysis, bio-fertilizer development, and artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in science and engineering. His work focuses on developing sustainable and cost-effective technologies for resource recovery, separation and purification, value-added product development, environmental remediation, and data-driven process modelling and optimization, supported by extensive publications, patents, and interdisciplinary research collaborations. He has contributed to academic and professional service through editorial responsibilities, project advisory roles, and membership of academic committees at national institutions.
