CNR IRBIM senior research technologist in physical oceanography, laurea degree in geological sciences with a thesis on physical oceanography, he is a key expert in physical oceanography and ocean monitoring particularly in relation to numerical ocean model validation and climatological studies. He is a member of the Operational Advisory Group of the Mediterranean Oceanographic Network for the Global Ocean Observing System (MONGOOS) at the European level and works on projects mainly focused on operational oceanography, ocean forecasting and capacity building activities in oceanography.
