Róbert Toman is a professor in the field of Nutrition at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. His research is primarily focused on the toxicological and nutritional quality of milk and dairy products of ruminants in relation to environmental and farming conditions. He investigates food safety, toxicological risk assessment, and the occurrence of essential and harmful elements in animal products with direct implications for human health. From the beginning of his career, he has been actively engaged in projects supported by national and international grant schemes. His early scientific work addressed the impact of environmental risk factors on spermatogenesis and the overall health of livestock and experimental animals, as well as the distribution and toxicological effects of heavy metals on reproductive organs. He later participated in projects on bioindication of anthropogenic stress through wildlife, optimization of animal production systems, and structural analysis of organs in relation to contaminant accumulation. These efforts established the foundation for his long-term focus on linking toxicology with food quality and consumer safety. His scientific interests concentrate on several interconnected areas. A long-term line of inquiry addresses the evaluation of toxicological and nutritional quality of milk and dairy products. He has systematically studied how different production systems, particularly organic and conventional farming, as well as environmental co
