Peptide chemistry and bioactive peptides, with a focus on the discovery, design, synthesis, and characterization of natural and synthetic peptides for biomedical and biotechnological applications. My research interests include amphibian-derived peptides, peptide-based inhibitors of cholinesterases and other therapeutic targets, Alzheimer’s disease, antimicrobial and insecticidal peptides, peptide structure–activity relationships, and the design of novel peptide analogues and hybrids.
