Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar (MSc, MPhil, PhD, FRSB (London), FCBEES (Hong Kong), FICER, FSLSc, FIASc) is the Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, Gwalior. He has served as the Vice-Chancellor of IES University, Bhopal also. He is Founding Campus Head of Amity Gwalior Campus. He was the Director & Head of Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Dean (Life Sciences) & Dean (Academics), Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. Prof. Tomar has more than 33 years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience in higher education in varied disciplines of science including Life Sciences. Prof. Tomar is actively engaged in teaching, research, and innovation besides an effective administrator. His research interests include Nanobiotechnology, Microbiology including Gut microbiota, Herbal Medicine, Cancer Biology, Animal Biotechnology and Environmental Biotechnology. He has to his credit more than 150 research papers published in various National and International Journals of repute. He has filed 28 Patents, of which 25 have been published in the Patent Journal of India. Two patents have been granted and another 04 are under the process for grant. Professor Tomar has published more than 35 books/book chapters published by national and international publishers. Recently, a book entitled “Nanobiotechnology: Concepts and Application in Health, Agriculture and Environment” has been published by Apple Academic Press (CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group), Florida, USA.
