Dr. Ruy D. Chacón is a Biologist, Geneticist, and Biotechnologist, who graduated from the National University of San Marcos with a Masters in Experimental and Comparative Pathology (FMVZ, University of São Paulo, Brazil) and PhD in Biotechnology (USP). He is a researcher belonging to the Laboratory of Ornithopathology of the Department of Pathology, FMVZ, USP. He has experience in the design and execution of research projects and in teaching in the areas of genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. His research is currently oriented to the search of developing methodologies for the diagnosis and characterization of pathological microorganisms and the development of immunobiologicals for agricultural use.
