Essaid Sabir (senior member, IEEE) received a BSc degree in electrical engineering electronics and automation from Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco, in 2004, a MSc degree in telecommunications and wireless engineering from INPT, in 2007, a PhD degree (Hons.) in networking and computer sciences from the University of Avignon, France, in 2010, and a habilitation degree (Hons.) from the University of Hassan II Casablanca, in 2014. He was a contractual assistant professor with the University of Avignon, from 2009 to 2012. He is currently associate professor at the National Higher School of Electricity and Mechanics (ENSEM). He has been involved in several national and international/European projects. His current research interests include protocols design for 5G/B5G/6G networks, the IoT, infrastructure-less networking, the tactile Internet, ultra-reliable low latency communications, wireless intelligence, stochastic learning, networking games, and business models for telecommunications. His work has been awarded prizes at many international events. As an attempt to bridge the gap between academia and industry, he founded the International Conference on Ubiquitous Networking and cofounded the International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications. He serves as an editor and/or reviewer for many journals. He has various executive roles, including the TPC Chair and other roles in many major international conferences.
