I'm Prof. Dr Sabri Erbaş. I work at the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, Isparta University of Applied Sciences. I completed my master's degree in 2007 and my doctorate in 2012 on safflower breeding. My research focuses on the cultivation (conventional, good agricultural practices, and organic farming practices) and breeding (hybridization, selection, and genetic analysis) of medicinal and aromatic plants; the analysis of the yield and quality of aromatic oils and plant extracts (volatile components, phenolic compound content and components, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antifungal activity, etc., using GC-MS, HPLC, spectrophotometer, and FTIR devices); the bioactivity of aromatic products; and advanced distillation and extraction techniques for post-harvest plants (water and steam distillation, solvent extraction, resin absorption, fractional distillation, molecular distillation). I developed and patented three safflower varieties (Safir, Askon-42, and Olein) for my PhD thesis. I also have research on the cultivation, physiology, breeding, and industry of oilseeds. In 2025, I worked for five months in Saudi Arabia on a FAO project focusing on "Developing the cultivation and trade of Damascus roses." I have over 130 research papers, presentations, and reviews. I have been a co-researcher and principal investigator in over 20 small, medium, and large-scale projects. My Scholar Google h-index is 28, my i10 index is 64, and my Web of Science h-index is 20.
