Education history: Received B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Batna, Algeria, respectively in 1994, 2000 and 2005 respectively. Career history: He is Currently a full Professor at the Electrical Engineering departement at University of Batna 2, Algeria. He is the head of the Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Team in the Research Laboratory of Electromagnetic Induction and Propulsion Systems of Batna University. In 2015, he spent two months as a Visiting professor at Picardie Jules Verne University, France. His research interests include electric machines and drives, renewable energy. He is also a reviewer for several prestigious journals (IET, IEEE, etc.). Prof. Drid is the Vice Chair of the Power & Eenergy chapter and the Treasurer of the IEEE Algeria Section. He serves as an Associate Editor for some international journals, Research interests: His main research interests include Power Quality issues, Power Electronics Devices, Application of Power electronics in Renewable Energies, Electrical machines and drives, Sensorless control, Electrical vehicles and unmanned vehicles, Smart Grid.
