I am a biologist and university professor specializing in mammalogy, ecology, biogeography, and conservation. My research focuses primarily on Neotropical mammals, particularly bats, integrating taxonomy, species distributions, ecological modeling, and conservation. I also work as a Curator of the Mammal Collection and collaborate with national and international research and conservation networks. I am especially interested in understanding patterns of mammalian diversity and applying scientific knowledge to biodiversity conservation.
