Salvatore De Rosa graduated in Medicine from the University of Naples “Federico II” in 2002, completing the Board in Cardiology in 2007 and a PhD in Cardiovascular Science and Experimental Medicine in 2010. He further strengthened his training through research and clinical appointments at major European centres, including the Goethe University of Frankfurt and the Allgemeines Krankenhaus (AKH) in Vienna. He is an interventional cardiologist and Full Professor at the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro, Italy. His research spans molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, non-coding RNAs, vascular remodeling, atherothrombosis, and ischemic heart disease, integrating basic insights with translational and clinical research. Over time, his work has expanded to imaging, biomarker discovery, and modeling. More recently, he has developed a research line in digital health, artificial intelligence, computational cardiology, and decision-support systems for interventional and structural procedures. Prof. De Rosa has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international multicentre studies, collaborating with European networks and multidisciplinary teams. He is the author of over 320 peer-reviewed publications, with more than 21,000 citations and an h-index above 50. His work aims to bridge molecular mechanisms, advanced diagnostics, and therapeutic innovation to advance precision cardiovascular medicine.
