Dr. T. Selvankumar is a Professor in the Biomaterials Research Unit, Department of General Medicine, Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS). With 27 years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in Microbiology, Bioprocess Technology, Nanotechnology, Biosensors, and Bioremediation technology. His accolades include the Best Teacher Award (2019) and the Best Researcher Award (2022) from Periyar University. He also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member and co-guide for research scholars and postgraduate students at Texila American University in Guyana, South America. Dr. Selvankumar has published 151 research articles in national and international journals (cumulative impact factor > 520) and authored 6 book chapters.
