Social networks have become a part of human life. Starting from sharing information like text, photos, messages, many have started share latest news, and news related pictures in the Media domain, question papers, assignments, and workshops in Education domain, online survey, marketing, and targeting customers in Business domain, and jokes, music, and videos in Entertainment domain. Because of its usage by Internet surfers in all possible ways, even wee would mention the social networking media as the current Internet culture. While enjoying the information sharing on Social Medias, yet it requires a great deal for security and privacy. The users’ information that are to be kept undisclosed, should be made private

The semantic web is an emerging technology that helps to connect different users to create their content and also facilitates the way of representing information in a manner that can be made understandable for computers. As the world is heading towards the fourth industrial revolution, the implicit utilization of artificial-intelligence-enabled semantic web technologies paves the way for many real-time application developments. The fundamental building blocks for the overwhelming utilization of semantic web technologies are ontologies, and it allows sharing as well as reusing the concepts in a standardized way so that the data gathered from heterogeneous sources receive a common nomenclature, and it paves the way for disambiguating the duplicates very easily. In this context, the right utilization of ontology capabilities would further strengthen its presence in many web-based applications such as e-learning, virtual communities, social media sites, healthcare, agriculture, etc. In this paper, we have given the comprehensive review of using the semantic web in the domain of healthcare, some virtual communities, and other information retrieval projects. As the role of semantic web is becoming pervasive in many domains, the demand for the semantic web in healthcare, virtual communities, and information retrieval has been gaining huge momentum in recent years. To obtain the correct sense of the meaning of the words or terms given in the textual content, it is deemed necessary to apply the right ontology to fix the ambiguity and shun any deviations that persist on the concepts. In this review paper, we have highlighted all the necessary information for a good understanding of the semantic web and its ontological frameworks.

Due to tremendous reception on digital learning platforms, many online users tend to register for online courses in MOOC offered by many prestigious universities all over the world and gain a lot on cutting edge technologies in niche courses. As the reception of online courses is increasing on one side, there have been huge dropouts of participants in the online courses causing serious problems for the course owners and other MOOC administrators. Hence, it is deemed necessary to find out the root causes of course dropouts and need to prepare a workable solution to prevent that outcome in the future. In this connection, the authors made use of three machine learning algorithms such as support vector machine, random forest, and conditional random fields. The huge samples of datasets were downloaded from the Open University of China, that is, almost 7K student profiles were extracted for the empirical analysis. The datasets were loaded into a confusion matrix and analyzed for the accuracy, precision, recall, and f-score of the model.

Deep learning approaches based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have recently achieved success in computer vision, demonstrating significant superiority in the domain of image processing. For hyperspectral image (HSI) classification, convolutional neural networks are an efficient option. Hyperspectral image classification approaches are often based on spectral information. Convolutional neural networks are used for image classification in order to achieve greater performance. The complex computation in convolutional neural networks requires hyper-parameters that attain high accuracy outputs, and this process needs more computational time and effort. Following up on the proposed technique, a bio-inspired metaheuristic strategy based on an enhanced form of elephant herding optimization is proposed in this research paper. It allows one to automatically search for and target the suitable values of convolutional neural network hyper-parameters. To design an automatic system for hyperspectral image classification, the enhanced elephant herding optimization (EEHO) with the AdaBound optimizer is implemented for the tuning and updating of the hyper-parameters of convolutional neural networks (CNN–EEHO–AdaBound). The validation of the convolutional network hyper-parameters should produce a highly accurate response of high-accuracy outputs in order to achieve high-level accuracy in HSI classification, and this process takes a significant amount of processing time. The experiments are carried out on benchmark datasets (Indian Pines and Salinas) for evaluation. The proposed methodology outperforms state-of-the-art methods in a performance comparative analysis, with the findings proving its effectiveness. The results show the improved accuracy of HSI classification by optimising and tuning the hyper-parameters.
