Professor Lim has been a medical doctor since 2000. He has been a specialist in rehabilitation since March 2005 and received his Ph.D. in 2011 in the field of stroke rehabilitation. In 2020, he became a tenured Professor at the Catholic University of Korea and the Clinical Director of "Rehabilitation Medicine" at St. Vincent Hospital. He has researched functional recovery and structural changes in the brains of patients with stroke, dysphagia, and electrodiagnosis, as well as noninvasive neuromodulation for stroke, epilepsy, and other brain disorders, through funds provided by the Korean government (MSIT, Ministry of Science and ICT) and the NEUROPHET Company. Professor Lim has published more than 90 papers in leading scientific journals, such as The New England Journal of Medicine and the European Journal of Neurology.
