I am a natural product biotechnologist interested in phytocentric and anthropocentric aspects of specialized metabolites and elucidation of their biosynthesis in native hosts (plants and fungi) via a multiomics approach. My research elucidates how these compounds drive plant resilience. Further engineering these pathways in heterologous hosts (yeast) for their sustainable production.
