Dr. Shibiao Wan is currently a Bioinformatics Research Scientist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the top pediatric cancer hospitals in US. With more than 10 years of experience in machine learning, bioinformatics, and computational biology, Dr. Wan has published >40 articles in prestigious journals like Genome Research (IF: 11.093), Nature Communications (IF: 14.919), Science Advances (IF: 14.136), Circulation Research (IF: 15.862), Briefings in Bioinformatics (IF: 11.622), and Bioinformatics (IF: 6.937). Dr. Wan is an academic editor for BioMed Research International (impact factor: 3.411) and a guest associate editor for a series of high-impact journals including Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology (impact factor: 6.684), Biology (impact factor: 5.079), and Frontiers in Genetics (impact factor: 4.599). He is a TPC member for >20 machine learning related international conferences including IEEE ICTAI, IEEE IAICT, IEEE IoTaIS, and IEEE SOFTT. Dr. Wan is also a reviewer for >50 prestigious journals including IEEE TNNLS, Genomic Medicine and Briefings in Bioinformatics. Before joining St. Jude, Dr. Wan received his postdoctoral training from University of Pennsylvania and Princeton University during 2016-2019. He is a recipient of the global peer review awards (top 1%) in “Cross-Field” and “Biology and Biochemistry” in 2019 awarded by Clarivate. Dr. Wan is also an Outstanding Young Alumni Awardee in 2021-2022.
