Yak Nutrition Research Focus on developing feeding standards for efficient feedlot yak production. This includes determining the optimal dietary concentrate-to-forage ratio, as well as appropriate levels of fiber, energy, protein, starch, and other nutrients for feedlot yaks. Additionally, research will be conducted on nutritional regulation of meat quality in feedlot yaks. The ultimate goal is to establish scientific and precise feeding standards for feedlot yak production, thereby supporting industry upgrading and efficiency improvement. Plateau Dairy Cattle Research To address the problems of low production performance and low survival rate in plateau dairy cattle, research will be carried out on the adaptation of dairy cattle to high-altitude environments and on technologies for improving production performance and efficiency. Studies on high-altitude diseases in dairy cattle will also be conducted. Using mice as a model, a hypobaric chamber will be employed to establish an experimental model, aiming to demonstrate the important role of gut microbiota in high‑altitude adaptation.
