Sebastiaan Remmers, PhD, has been affiliated with the Department of Urology at the Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam as a statistician since 2017. He obtained his Master’s degree (cum laude) in Methodology and Statistics in Psychology from Leiden University in 2017. In 2024, he completed his PhD thesis, Studies on the Natural History of Prostate Cancer and Multivariable Risk Stratification in Early Detection and Treatment. His research focuses on urological oncology, with a particular emphasis on improving early detection of prostate cancer through risk prediction models. He also has a special interest in population-based prostate cancer screening and quality-of life outcomes. No conflicts of interest.
