Stella C. Christopoulou received her Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989. She received her MSc in Health Informatics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2000. She received her Ph.D. in informatics on the use of integrated mobile systems with context awareness to support evidence-based medicine and the provision of personalized health services from the University of Thessaly. She was employed in the informatics specialty by the Public Vocational Training Institutes from 1998 to 2004. She worked at the Agricultural University of Athens as a permanent administrative staff member with a specialty in informatics and as an analyst/programmer in the information technology and networks department from 1991 to 2004. She also worked at the University of Peloponnese as a permanent administrative staff member with a specialty in informatics as an analyst/programmer from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 until now, she has been a lecturer specializing in information technology at the University of Peloponnese. Her research interests are in health informatics, semantic web, and context-aware technologies. She has many scholarly publications in refereed journals and conferences.
