Subhadip Basu has been a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India since 2018. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kuvempu University, India in 1999. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering degree from Jadavpur University in 2006. He worked in Hitachi Central Research Laboratory, Japan in 2007, University of Warsaw, Poland in 2009 and 2012–2014 and in University of Iowa, USA during 2010–2011. Dr. Basu has published around 150 research articles in various International Journals, Conference proceedings and book chapters in the areas of Bioinformatics, Biomedical Image Analysis, Character Recognition, etc. He is the recipient of BOYSCAST young scientist fellowship and FASTTRACK young scientist grant from the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, HIVIP fellowship from Hitachi, Japan, EMMA visiting scientist and post-doctoral fellowships from the European Union etc.
