Safi Ur Rehman Qamar completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, Serbia, and a Master of Science degree in Applied Biological Science from Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Thailand. His interdisciplinary thesis entitled “Study of the nanocomposites as an alternative therapeutic approach for nosocomial infection” aimed at developing novel nanotherapeutics using titanium-silica-iron oxide nanocomposites (NCs) and NCs-coated film that will be applied to hospital-admitted patients bedsheets to combat antimicrobial resistance and hospital-associated nosocomial infection caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. During his bachelor’s degree, he studied extensively about anatomical and physiological aspects of animals. He has published several papers in the impact factor journal and presented his research work at international conferences in the field of nanotherapeutics and animal sciences. Previously, he worked as an Early-Stage Researcher (ESR 3) in the MSCA DECODE ITN project at Bioengineering Research and Development Center (BioIRC), Kragujevac, Serbia. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral researcher (Research Associate) at BioIRC doo.
