Seungwoo Son obtained his doctorate in engineering from Seoul National University. He currently serves as an Associate Research Fellow at the Environmental Planning Research Center of the Korea Environment Institute. His research encompasses environmental planning, environmental spatial information, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and information communication technology (ICT) for monitoring urban and natural environments. Dr. Son specializes in developing science-based environmental strategies through data-driven approaches, focusing on ecological restoration, urban thermal environment analysis, and ecosystem monitoring.
