Thien Duc Tran (member of the IEEE) received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of
Electrical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2010 and 2013,
respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Ulsan in 2020.
He works as a lecturer at the Department of Automatic Control and an advisor at the Robotic and Intelligent Control Lab at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Vietnam. His research interests include robotics, variable stiffness systems, fluid power control, disturbance observers, nonlinear control, adaptive control, fault-tolerant control, and intelligent techniques.
