Dr. Tianyang Chen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Applied GIScience and the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Geographical Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His research focuses on Geospatial Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Science and Technology, spatial analytics, geocomputation, and environmental and socio-ecological applications. By integrating deep learning, high-performance computing, and advanced geospatial methods, his work addresses complex spatial problems related to 3D geospatial object detection, infrastructure resilience, environmental conservation, and spatial decision support. Dr. Chen continues to advance practical applications of GeoAI to support geographic knowledge discovery and data-informed decision-making.
