Biography

I am a scientist and technology enthusiast with a broad interdisciplinary interest, primarily in molecular biology and biomedicine. I combine computational approaches (R, python, bash, macro language of Fiji; ~5 years of experience) with biochemical experiments (~10 years of experience) and biophysics to unravel nuclear architecture and regulatory principles of gene expression in developing T cells. I have hands-on experience with Hi-C, HiChIP and other methods probing 3D chromatin architecture, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RRBS, RNA-seq, RIP & CHART (to study roles of lncRNAs), confocal and super-resolution microscopy (including IF, FISH, FRAP, live cell imaging) and with computational analysis of data output from all the aforementioned approaches. Moreover, I have experience with the study of a protein’s biophysical properties and liquid-liquid phase separation using tools of genetic engineering, optoGenetics and Raman spectroscopy. Lastly, I also have a solid background in lymphocyte biology, including iNKT and other innate-like T cells and in pathological situations such as autoimmunity and cancer, resulting from deregulation of the control mechanisms.
