Adjunct Professor of Pathology Department of Medicine School of Fluminense Federal University. I obtained my Master's and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine from Oswaldo Cruz Institute/FIOCRUZ/Brazil. My post-doctoral (Medical Microbiology) training program was supported by CAPES(Brazil) at State University of Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Jnaeiro, Brazil). The focus areas of my research are 1) molecular epidemiology of Gram-negative bacteria; and 2) mechanism of bacterial multidrug resistance and pathogenesis.
