Dr. Tuhin Subhra Santra is an Assistant Professor in Department of Engineering Design at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Dr. Santra received his PhD degree in Bio-NEMS from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan under Prof. Fan-Gang Tseng. He was a Post-Doctoral researcher at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, under Prof. Pei-Yu Chiou. His main research areas are Bio-NEMS, Single Cell Technology, Bio-Micro/Nano Fabrication, Nanomedicine etc. Currently Dr. Santra serving as a Guest Editor for Cell and Micromachines Journals. He served as a Guest Editor for International Journal of Molecular Science (IJMS) 2018, 2017,2015 and Sensors Journal 2016, Journal of Molecules 2016, Journal of Micromachines 2013, among others.
He was Editor of the book entitled “Microfluidics and Bio-NEMS: Devices and Applications” by Jenny Stanford Publisher, USA, 2020, “Bionanomaterials” by Cambridge Scholar Publisher, UK, 2020, “Essential of Single Cell Analysis” Springer, Germany 2016.
Dr. Santra has received many honors and awards such as “Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance Fellowship” in 2018, Honorary Research Fellow from NTHU, Taiwan in 2018, Bharat Bikas Award in 2017 etc. Currently, Dr. Santra Editing book with Springer-Nature entitled "Handbook of single-cell technologies" and with CRC press entitled"Single biomolecule detection".
