Dr. Muhammad Umair Yasin received his Ph.D. in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Zhejiang University in 2023. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Zhejiang University and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Urban Agriculture, China. His research focuses on plant stress physiology, phytoremediation of heavy metals, and nano-enabled soil amendments for sustainable agriculture. His work integrates nanomaterials science, environmental biotechnology, transcriptomics, and plant–soil–microbiome interactions to elucidate mechanisms of heavy metal detoxification and plant stress resistance in crops. He is currently serving as Guest Editor for a Special Issue on “Molecular and Biotechnological Approaches for Enhancing Stress Resistance in Plants” in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
