Synthesis and study of mechanism of formation of monodisperse nano- and submicro- particles of various inorganic compounds, including oxides, phosphates, vanadates, tungstates, fluorides, etc. of mainly rare earth and d-elements. Methods of synthesis include slow hydrolysis, high temperature solvolysis, hydrothermal and microwave-hydrothermal treatment and all that is frequently called "soft chemistry methods". Now also involved in a project related to the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles.
