PhD in Agronomy – Soil Science, with a research focus on the molecular and functional characterization of bioinputs applied to regenerative agriculture. Conducts studies on humic substances, macroalgae extracts, and smart fertilizers, emphasizing their structural composition, bioactive properties, and physiological effects on cultivated plants. Employs advanced analytical techniques such as 13C NMR spectroscopy, ICP-MS, HPLC-HRMS, morphophysiological analysis, nutrient quantification, gene expression profiling (RNA-seq), and multivariate modeling to elucidate the mechanisms of action of these inputs on plant metabolism. Main research interests include structure–bioactivity relationships of natural organic compounds, hormonal signaling, carbon and nitrogen metabolism, photosynthetic efficiency, and plant responses to abiotic stress. Works at the interface of soil chemistry, plant physiology, and the development of sustainable technologies for fertility management in tropical agricultural systems, with emphasis on organic-based inputs and low-impact farming practices.
