Prof. Dr. Veraldo Liesenberg is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Forest Engineering, Santa Catarina State University (UDESC), in Lages, Brazil. He has experience with forestry and remote sensing applied to vegetation studies. His contributions are more related to hyperspectral remote sensing and SAR, the retrieval of biophysical parameters, seasonal monitoring and environmental modeling. Prof. Liesenberg received his PhD degree from the Technical University of Freiberg, Faculty of Geosciences, Geotechnics and Mining (Freiberg, Germany) in June 2013. He is also a member of IEEE.
