Dr. Vibhutesh Kumar Singh is an Assistant Lecturer in Electronic Engineering at South East Technological University (SETU). He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2021 as an SFI-CONNECT scholar. He also holds an M.Tech. from IIIT-Delhi and a B.Tech. from Vellore Institute of Technology. Prior to his academic appointment at SETU in 2024, he served as a Product Development Engineer at Intel Corporation.
Dr. Singh’s expertise spans the intersection of artificial intelligence, autonomous robotic systems, and advanced wireless communications. His recent applied research focuses on multi-agent autonomous system simulations using large language models, developing physical layer software-defined radio (SDR) testbeds, and AI driven cybersecurity tools. He actively bridges academia and industry, currently a PI in an EPA-funded AI-driven environmental project and serving as an PI for Enterprise Ireland feasibility grants regarding AI software and EU AI Act compliance.
His notable academic contributions include highly cited research on channel estimation for OTFS and FBMC-OQAM systems, as well as machine learning applications in selective laser melting. Dr. Singh actively serves on technical programme committees for international conferences, including ICDCN, ISENSE, and IEEE ANTS. His professional contributions have been recognized with multiple Intel Recognition Awards, an IEEE ComSoc Travel Grant, and Best Paper awards.
