Dr. Guangshan Wei is an Assistant Researcher at the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, China. His research focuses on marine microbial resources and ecology, especially mining functional elements from marine microorganisms and exploring their potential applications. His research interests include the development of RNA-mediated bacterial regulatory systems, and functional studies of bacterial small proteins and extracellular vesicles. He has led projects funded by NSFC and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has published over 30 SCI papers with >1,400 citations (H-index 15), and served as a reviewer for journals such as ISME J.
