Wender Alves Silva is a multidisciplinary organic chemist with extensive experience in higher education as a professor, researcher, and scientific advisor. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (2009) from the University of Brasília (UnB), including a research period at Universidad de Talca (Chile), focusing on asymmetric reduction of chalcones and imines toward bioactive compounds. Since joining UnB, he has contributed to the training of undergraduate and graduate students, the development of research projects, and the advancement of modern synthetic methodologies. His research is centered on organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry, with emphasis on drug design, molecular modeling, alkaloid synthesis, multicomponent reactions (MCRs), microwave-assisted processes, and continuous-flow chemistry. He has authored numerous publications in internationally recognized journals, including highlighted contributions and cover articles. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for national and international journals, contributing to the dissemination and evaluation of high-quality scientific research.
