Xi Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Soil Physics at Louisiana State University Agricultural Center. He received his Ph.D. in Soil Science from the University of Kentucky. The central theme of his work has been to better understand how environmental changes and human disturbances in the Anthropocene govern the functioning of soil and how these interactions influence hydrologic cycles, biogeochemical processes, soil–climate feedbacks, and agroecosystem services.
