Biography

Yan Ren is a Lecture at the Institute of Geospatial Information, Information Engineering University, China. Her research interests lie at the intersection of geospatial intelligence, remote sensing image understanding, and geographic knowledge graphs. She is particularly focused on multimodal prompt learning for spatial reasoning in remote sensing scenes, as well as large language model–enhanced cognition of geographic knowledge. She has published three SCI-indexed papers, including one first-author article in Remote Sensing (2026, Q1) titled “Multimodal Prompt Learning for Spatial Reasoning in Remote Sensing Image Scene.” She also co-authored works in Transactions in GIS (2026) and ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information (2019). Her current work explores how prompt-based learning and knowledge graphs can improve semantic parsing and spatial relation reasoning in remote sensing imagery. Yan Ren aims to advance intelligent interaction in virtual geographic environments and contribute to the development of foundation models for geospatial semantics.
