Prof. Yung Yau is currently lecturing and researching at Lingnan University. He had been a building surveying graduate in the Buildings Department, a post-doctoral fellow at The University of Hong Kong, and an associate professor at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) before joining Lingnan University in Summer 2021. Prof. Yau's research interests include anti-social behavior in housing, resident participation, building illegality, urban regeneration, built heritage conservation, and housing economics. He has extensive experience in program administration. Now, he is the Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, at Lingnan University. Over the years, he won different awards such as the Emerald Literati Awards, Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards 2006 (Architectural Research), and Li Ka Shing Prize 2007 for his scholarly work. He was selected as the Top Peer Reviewer 2019 by Publons.
