I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital pursuing research in aging biology. My work focuses on cellular senescence, chronic inflammation, and age-related diseases, with the goal of developing mechanism-based interventions to improve healthspan. During my doctoral training at the University of Florida, I investigated next-generation PROTAC senolytics targeting anti-apoptotic BCL-2 family proteins to overcome limitations of existing therapies. Through collaborations with colleagues and mentors, I contributed to the development of selective senolytic strategies with improved efficacy and safety. As first author, I demonstrated that selective clearance of senescent cells suppresses liver inflammation and delays MASH-driven hepatocellular carcinoma, findings published in Nature Aging (2025). This work provided preclinical evidence supporting cellular senescence as a therapeutic target and established a foundation for developing targeted interventions against age-related diseases. I also contributed to studies showing that senescent cells exhibit exaggerated inflammatory responses to secondary stimuli, providing mechanistic insights into inflammaging and age-associated vulnerability to chronic inflammatory disorders. My current research investigates how stress-response pathways regulate senescence-associated inflammation and innate immune signaling. I aim to identify translatable strategies to mitigate chronic inflammation and promote healthy aging.

Certificate of Outstanding Merit for the 2023 year
University of Florida
The University of Florida International Center (UFIC) coordinates the selection of students for the Certificates of Outstanding Merit in addition to its International Student Achievement Awards (ISAA) International Center University of Florida. These certificates recognize international students who have made exemplary contributions beyond academic achievement, such as research, teaching, service, or community engagement.
GAPSA-Provost Fellowship Award for Interdisciplinary Innovation for the 2018/19 Academic Year
University of Pennsylvania
The GAPSA-Provost Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Innovation is a program jointly funded by GAPSA and the Office of the Provost for the expressed purpose of fostering an interdisciplinary professional environment at the University of Pennsylvania. This highly competitive award strives to support original, student-derived initiatives that integrate knowledge across diverse academic disciplines. The fellowship is meant to help the project leader(s) develop, pursue and complete their initiatives.
