Dr. Lei Zhou is an Associate Research Fellow at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Hainan University. His research lies at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and multimodal intelligence, with a particular focus on subspace learning, zero/few-shot recognition, open-world object detection, and remote sensing image analysis. Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. in Computer Application Technology from Beihang University, where his dissertation explored subspace clustering of high-dimensional structured data. He has since developed influential theories and algorithms for efficient subspace representation and retrieval, distribution-preserving subspace clustering, and hierarchical attention mechanisms for visual recognition. His research has been published in premier conferences and journals such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, IJCAI, Pattern Recognition, and Machine Learning, with more than 30 papers. His recent research expands into large multimodal models and open-environment visual perception, aiming to enhance machine understanding of complex, dynamic, and data-scarce scenarios.
