Prof. Silvio holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering. His research interests are focused on Energy Systems and Sustainable Processes to provide solutions to the world´s complex problems. His main contributions are in the field of Thermodynamics and Supercritical Fluid Technology applied to Enhanced Oil Recovery, Bioenergy and Biorefinery, Biomaterials Processing, and Green and Sustainable Processes. He has recently paid substantial attention to the energy transition with the objective of a net-zero carbon society.
