Valentina Alena Girelli is Associate Professor of Geomatics (academic discipline: Surveying and Mapping) at the University of Bologna, Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM). She received a PhD in Geodetic and Topographic Sciences in 2007.
Her main research topic concerns the application of advanced geomatic methodologies and techniques to support efficient procedures for the surveying, the modeling and the representation of structures, infrastructure and land, with emphasis on process quality assessment.
Engaged in several national and international research projects, she is the author of 70 scientific publications. H-index (Scopus): 14.
Since 2023, she has been the Secretary of the Scientific Board of SIFET, the Italian Society of Photogrammetry and Topography.
