Dr. Nick Harris is a Professor of Advanced Sensor Technologies at the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, Southampton. He has authored or co-authored over 200 publications and patents in these fields. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the IET, and a Co-Founder of Perpetuum Ltd., a spin-out company specializing in energy harvesting systems and data processing for condition monitoring applications. His research interests include distributed sensors for agriculture and environmental monitoring, machine learning approaches for distributed sensor systems, self-powered and embedded health and usage monitors, and novel environmental energy harvesters.
