Shashi Kant Bhatia received his M. Sc and Ph. D degree in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University (India). Thereafter, he worked as Post Doc fellow, Assistant Professor (2016-2020) and Associate Professor (2020-2026) in Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. Currently he is working as Tenure Faculty at Kookmin University, Seoul, South Korea. His main research interest is the exploitation of microbes for biopolymers, antibiotics, bioenergy, secondary metabolites and enzyme production. He used to work with wild microbes, engineered microbes and synthetic microbial consortia.
