The research within this paper is motivated by the opinion that different organizational factors in primary education can have a stronger or weaker impact on the quality of the learning outcome. Organizational factors, criteria analyzed in this paper, are school management, school infrastructure, students’ foreknowledge, teacher competencies, curriculum content, student motivation, and the quality of the teaching process. Using SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis) method of multi-criteria decision-making, the answers of elementary school principals, members of the panel of experts, were processed. The calculation within this method was performed using fuzzy numbers to ensure the reliability of expert evaluations. The results of the applied method, in the form of weighting coefficients of the criteria, indicate that school management has an influence on the selection and building of teachers’ competencies while the given competence can indirectly affect the overall success of students through the establishment of an adequate school infrastructure, which affects the knowledge quality. Knowing the factor that has the highest impact enables principals to manage this factor and contribute to enhancing the knowledge quality. This research contributes to raising awareness of the importance of particular organizational factors in elementary education and the need to improve them.

The dimensions that influence the establishment of business process management (BPM) practices and the progression to higher levels of process maturity derive from exploring the dimensions of process orientation of organizations. Small and medium-sized clothing enterprises (SME’s) are characterized by various specifics that can affect the degree of process orientation adoption and the pace of transition from lower to higher levels of process maturity. According to these specifics, the acceptance of the process approach may be differently affected. For the purpose of adequate evaluation and prioritization of the most influential dimensions, a new integrated multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) model that combines classical and fuzzy theory was developed. First, the full consistency method (FUCOM) method was applied, followed by the fuzzy pivot pairwise relative criteria importance assessment (fuzzy PIPRECIA) method to obtain more accurate criteria values. Prioritization of the most influential BPM dimension contributes to highlighting the area of business that needs to be primarily strengthened by appropriate actions for successful establishment of BPM in apparel industry SMEs. Within this research, the prioritized dimension refers to human resource management in accordance with the specific aspects of business within the apparel industry.

Business processes provide description of way in which organizations realize their businesses. Orientation to business processes significantly influences the overall performance of organizations. Process-oriented organizations tend to reach the best business practices by carrying out actions such as process definition, process performance measurement, and process improvement processes, among others. The results of the research are focused on examination of differences according to dimensions such as the definition of the process, the focus on process performance and the presence of process improvements within the production organizations covered by research, grouped according to the criteria of years of operation. By using the ANOVA test, within the software package for statistical data processing SPSS, the presence of a statistically significant difference between individual groups of organizations was determined. Ranking of the groups according to the adoption of defined dimensions is performed using the TOPSIS method.

Business process improvement is necessary given the need to satisfy consumers by delivering value-added products and services. The textile and clothing industry in the age of consumerism of textile and clothing products is facing the challenge of the constant need to meet and exceed consumer expectations. Establishing the practice of continuous business process improvement, especially within the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the textile and clothing industry, as the largest group of companies, is of particular importance in resisting these challenges. As the textile and clothing industry is labor-intensive and a large number of processes operate on the basis of direct engagement of human resources, there is a need to examine the impact of human resource management on the establishment of the practice of business process improvement in MSMEs. Within this paper, the impact of human resource management on the improvement of business processes was examined by applying regression analysis.
